| OULTON PARK, A NICE PLACE.... Friday practice went well, hot and dry race day the same, only hotter, Bike 1 for qualifing,I pushed my way the the front of the group as we waited to go out for qualifing, once we were let out I went like ER...as fast as i could on lap two my foot peg broke and I had to pull in, just hope that the lap times I had done had counted, my first lap counted, that was two seconds faster than friday practice qualified 8th, Race 1 bike 1 made a good start got round the first few bends well the lap times not as good as the qualifing times, also having a problem with grip on the front end, same bend two laps running the front just slipped out, I still dont understand why i didnt crash, bloody close, I think maybe the tyres were too hot and too worn, the next thing was that I overshot the chicane by braking way too late, thats good I just got myself a 10 second penalty, from 7th in race to 9th because of the penalty Race 2 bike 1 grid 8 not the best start but away ok, held 7th place all race until the last lap, passed one rider with half a lap to go, caught another rider with two bends to go, I thought lets have a go, nailed it and passed him over the line,beat him by 0.7 seconds and finished 5th, still 4th in the championship, lets hope I can hold this together for two more rounds | ||
