After a long hard season, the team went to Donington Park for the last round of superclub, les needed 32 points to get himself into 3rd place in the championship, with weather conditions and track conditions on the change all the time he went to the grid with an open mind. He made a near perfect start and led it into the first bend and stayed in the lead until the flag was waved race two he only needed 7 points to take 3rd overall a steady race saw him finish in 7th to take the place he worked hard for. it was a good days racing and to make things a bit better he was awarded man of the meeting by new era club a good end to a hard season |

| 03/03/2004 | les | Bonjour after two days and 850 miles, with the help of team v2.com we got Nogaro circuit in France day one I found hard as I had to learn the track, this took a bit of time as it is a very twisty track with about 14 turns of which 5 are left handed. Day two felt ok with the track, on the pace a bit now. Spent a lot of time setting suspension and changing tyres all helping me go faster all the time, one big help was chasing the the Frence superbike champion, what ever his name is, needless to say could only stick with him for a short time, but I did learn some different lines Day three feel really quite confident just spent time pushing quite hard and trying different set ups on suspension and riding as much as possible Day four felt even more confident, is this a sign to slow down ?, no, just kept on riding and trying hard, Day five woke up it was snowing, bikes in van we are going home !!!!!!!!! All in all the time was used well I had time on the bikes and time to try differnt things to help me go quicker, all I can do now is refresh the engine and get to Snetterton for the first two rounds of season and see what I can do, I will be trying |
